Han Solo and Princess Leia…as pugs! Hands down, my favorite drawings of last week were these two:
Star Wars played a huge part of my formative years. Huge may actually be an understatement. Writing a fan fiction trilogy may have been involved. But that’s a whole other story.
The first thing I did with the drawings was to transfer them to cotton:
Which went pretty well, I think.
The originals have sold, but the beauty of this process is that I can make them again! On any color background you like. Click here if you’d like to find out more.
And then, it finally dawned on me (thank you, kind Instagram people for suggesting this!) to make prints on paper. It was one of those major OH! RIGHT! moments. You mean I don’t have to make everything five steps more complicated? I could just do the direct thing? That…honestly never occurred to me.
I wound up making two versions of the print. A one page version, with both pugs together:
And a two print set:
Because ok, maybe I do have to make everything five steps more complicated than it needs to be after all.
